Almost 80 percent oppose Carbon Tax increase

Almost four in five people want the Government to delay the Carbon Tax increase due next month.

That’s according to a new RED C Poll carried out on behalf of thejournal.ie.

Just 16 percent said it should not be postponed, with 5 percent saying they were unsure.

The increase is due to kick in on May 1st, with the price of carbon increasing by about €7.50 a tonne per household.
