9% VAT rate for hospitality extended

The 9% VAT rate on hospitality has been extended until the end of February next year.

The measure, which was introduced to help businesses during the pandemic, will cost the State €250 million.

It comes amid reports from hoteliers and restaurateurs that the running costs for the sector are driving prices up.
