Donegal islands to receive over €136,000 for capital works

Over €136,000 has been allocated for capital works on Donegal’s islands.

The funding will see improvements made to the access road to Island Roy, the helipad and slipway design for Toraigh Island, and an environmental study for Machaire Rabhartaigh pier.

Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue says investment in Donegal’s islands is crucially important for residents, inshore fishers, businesses and tourism.

Donegal received the highest allocation in the country.
