Lidl makes industry first with ‘Good to Give’ labels

In what has been dubbed an industry first, Lidl are adding labels to thirty products to help customers decide what to donate to food banks.

The effort is a part of the ‘Good to Give’ initiative and is a partnered effort with Neighbourly, which helps co-ordinate delivery of surplus food.

Items include brown rice, tinned fruit and noodles and strive to provide people in need with donations to maintain a healthy diet.
