Successful day at National Masters for Donegal athletes

It was a successful day at the National Masters for Donegal athletes on Saturday afternoon.

The Olympian club celebrated four gold medals with the O’Donnell family earning those medals, Karen claimed victory in the 100 and 400 metres, Michelle won the javelin with Martin winning the triple jump.

Martin Cunningham claimed gold in the 1500 metres with Geraldine Stewart winning the shot put.

Robert Anderson won gold in the hammer, meanwhile Martin Mooney claimed victory in the shot and Damien Crawford of Lifford/Strabane AC got himself gold medals in both the shot putt and the hammer.

Finn Valley athletes, Brian O’Donnell, Bosco Reid, Noreen Bonner and Catriona Devine all earned themselves gold medals.

The 5000 metres was won by Martin Kerr.
