Irish Water has confirmed that restrictions on the Lough Mourne and Carrigart water supplies will remain in place until further notice.
In order to maintain a daytime water supply in both areas, night-time restrictions are in place between 10pm and 9am.
The restriction on the Lough Mourne Water Supply is impacting Stranorlar, Ballybofey, Raphoe, Convoy, Tievebrack, Gleneely and Ballynacor while the Carrigart Water Supply restrict is affecting customers in Carrigart, Downings and Cranford.
Irish Water says, working with Donegal County Council, it is taking every measure to ensure that supply can keep up with the increased demand.
The utility says the overnight restrictions are essential until further notice to allow reservoir levels recover.
