Gardai in Donegal are warning against the personalisation of children’s’ school bags ahead of the new school term.
They are asking people to think twice before having items personalised as a child may automatically presume that anyone who knows their name is not a stranger.
Gardai say items which will be unseen when children are travelling to and from school such as books and pencil cases are safe.
