Public urged not to enter Field of Hope in Quigley’s Point

The public are being urged to stay out the Field of Hope after a successful weekend event.

The sunflower field in Quigley’s Point was open over the weekend to mark the 2nd anniversary of John, Tomás and Amelia Mullan.

The field has now been returned to the farmer and is no longer open to the public.

The event, which attracted over 15,000 visitors, is now over and the field has been returned to the farmer, and access to the field is not permitted due to it being returned to a working farm status.

A spokesperson for the Mullan Hope Centre has asked people to respect the generosity of the farmer John McCarron by not trying to access his field any further.

The spokesperson also thanked the public for understanding and urged people to continue sharing photos and memories using the #fieldofhope.
