Emergency housing measures needed to curb homelessness rise – O’Broin

Sinn Fein say that record homeless figures will continue to rise unless the Government steps in and bans evictions.

Stats from the Department of Housing show 10,568 people were in homelessness as of July – an all time high.

That figure includes over 3 thousand children, with Dublin seeing the highest volume of access to emergency accommodation.

In the North-West, 84 people are currently homeless, including 22 children.
