Motorists are being advised of significant traffic delays in Lifford at the moment due to temporary traffic lights at roadworks at the old camel’s hump.
It’s currently taking approximately 40/45 minutes to get from the Murlog junction to the roundabout so motorists are being urged to avoid the area for now if at all possible.
Cllr Gary Doherty says he was not made aware that these works were due to be carried out today.
He added that going forward there must be better communication between the authorities on both sides of the bridge to ensure that delays like this are minimised where at all possible.
