A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Derry.
The 35 year old man was arrested by detectives following a report of a man being stabbed at a flat on Great James Street during the early hours of this morning.
Police received a report at around 12:25am today of the stabbing.
The victim, aged in his twenties, is currently in hospital.
Detective Sergeant Galbraith says officers remain at the scene conducting enquiries.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, or has information which may assist with the investigation, to contact them on 101.
