The outgoing PRO of the Mica Action Group has said while he believes a new government will be necessary to deliver an acceptable Defective Blocks Scheme, he is not supporting any political party.
Michael Doherty, who stepped down at the group’s AGM this week told Greg on today’s Nine til Noon Show that while Sinn Fein is promising to deliver what the group wants, he is not going to advise people to vote in any particular way.
On the issue of the group running candidates in the next general election, he said that will be a matter for the incoming committee, and said the immediate priority is to deliver a strong message to the government at the weekend’s Cost of Living demonstration.
However, he made it clear that whatever happens in the future, he has no confidence in the current administration………….
