Minister Charlie McConalogue has appealed to Taoiseach Micheál Martin to keep him at Cabinet in the upcoming reshuffle.
In less than three weeks Tánaiste Leo Varadkar will take over from Micheál Martin as Taoiseach.
There will be a reshuffle of Ministerial jobs at that time.
