A government minister says a bag of excrement was thrown at her last night.
In a tweet, Junior Minister for Disability Anne Rabbitte said herself and government colleague were subject to the attack while attending a meeting.
A number of TDs from across the political spectrum have come to her support online, with some calling for the incident to be investigated by gardaí.
