Fr. Colm O Doherty form the Clonleigh parish has issued a Facebook post to his parishioners after discovering fake emails in his name.
The emails which look to be sent in Fr O’Doherty’s name are requests for gift cards.
He urges recipients to not open the emails or respond as they are a scam.
The matter has been reported to the gardai.
