Gardaí in Waterford are encouraging anyone facing drug debt intimidation to contact them for support. In the past, similar calls have been made in Donegal by Cllr Gerry McMonagle, who now chairs the county’s Local Community Safety Partnership.
Gardai believe many people feel too afraid to seek support for fear of prosecution.
But Waterford Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Deirdre O’Neill says those who are subjected to such intimidation need protection……………..
