Keeping teachers in the profession, the cost of living and pay are to the fore of discussions at teaching conferences underway across this country.
This afternoon the ASTI’s annual delegate conference will get underway in Wexford, the INTO congress continues in Killarney, while the TUI meets in Cork.
Joanne Irwin, a Donegal teacher, is the assistant general secretary of the TUI.
