It could cost in the region of €100,000 to move an ESB transformer from the Diamond in Donegal Town.
Councillors in the Donegal Municipal District were informed of the colossal costs at a recent workshop were a number of options to move transformer due to the unsightliness of the it within the town centre.
Councillor Noel Jordan says other options must be explored to relocate or hide the transformer:
