Donegal County Council is being urged to purchase the old Milford Hotel Site under the 2023 Building Acquisition
Measure. The proposal was made by Cllr Liam Blaney who also suggested the council buy the old Milford Bakery site.
However, that’s not eligible as it is not currently for sale.
Officials pointed out that the work on a Town Centre First plan for Milford is progressing, and the recommendation would be to ensure that those stages are gone through before an acquisitions are made.
However, Cllr Blaney says if the council delays, opportunities could be lost………
