Gardaí in Buncrana are investigating the theft of a sum of money at Bonnemaine, Bridgend between 10pm on Saturday night last and 4pm the following day.
A lock was forced open and entry gained into a chip van parked in the area.
The cash register was stolen, containing a sum of cash.
Anyone who believes they have information relating to the incident is asked to make contact with gardaí.
