A resident who was asleep was wakened by the sound of intruders talking in the Marine Lane area of Bundoran.
A man and a woman gained entry the home at 3:30pm in the afternoon.
The resident shouted, causing them to flee.
Nothing was taken from the home.
Gardaí in Ballyshannon are appealing to anyone with information to make contact.
