The Strand Road in Derry has reopened after an earlier incident in which a pedestrian was struck by a car on the Strand Road in Derry.
It happened early this morning, around 1.40am.
The PSNI say a black coloured Volkswagon Golf was involved.
A man in his forties was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in a critical condition.
