Young Maghery girl uses her voice on Rare Disease Day

A young girl from Maghery living with a rare skin condition says she feels proud to have her voice heard on Rare Disease Day.

Lucy Gallagher has Harlequin ichthyosis and is a member of the new All-Ireland Children and Young Adults Research Advisory Group for Rare Diseases.

Research shows 1 in 17 people live with a rare disease and around 70% of those are children.
