Irish Red Cross again appealing for people to pledge a room for Ukrainian refugees

The Irish Red Cross is re-issuing its appeal for people to pledge a room in their homes for Ukrainian refugees.

It says State accommodation services are under significant pressure, and its concerned many of those fleeing the ongoing war will end up homeless.

Almost 11,000 refugees have already been accommodated through the scheme here in over 4,700 properties.

The Red Cross wants to hear from anyone with a spare bedroom or a vacant property which could be used to house a family.
