The Regional Independent group of TD’s are to be invited in the coming days to engage in formal talks on the formation of a new Government.
Its understood Fianna Fail and Fine Gael will also open formal discussions with the Kerry Independent Deputies Michael and Danny Healy-Rae.
Negotiations on a new programme for Government will continue today.
Meanwhile its expected the Social Democrats will announce its intention to end contact with the bigger parties, and remain in opposition.
