Raphoe to reap the rewards of Uisce Éireann investment

Uisce Éireann customers in Raphoe can look forward to a more reliable water supply as significant improvement works get underway in the East Donegal town in the coming days.

More than 1km of damaged water mains have been prioritised for replacement at Beltony Road, Raphoe, which will ensure a reduction in disruption from bursts and supply interruptions for customers.

These works will give local homes and businesses more confidence in their supply and the new pipework will put an end to leakage of treated water into the ground.

Crews will be carrying out this water main replacement project along the L2334 at Miltown/Figart, Raphoe.

To deliver the works safely and efficiently, a road closure will be necessary.

Diversion routes will be in place and the community can be assured that local and emergency access will be maintained at all times.

Areas of work will be limited to short sections to minimise impact and the project team will ensure that customers are given a minimum of 48 hours’ notice prior to any planned interruptions.

Farrans Construction are carrying out the works on behalf of Uisce Éireann which are expected to be completed by late Spring 2025.
