A house has been sealed off in Letterkenny today following reports of human remains being located on the site.
Gardai are conducting the search at Leck Cottages.
The remains are understood to be pre-2000 and pre-dates the occupancy of the current residents.
Gardai say no further details will be provided until the operation is complete.
