Housing targets are not sufficient to meet need – SJI

Ireland is still playing ‘catch up’ when it comes to house building.

Figures yesterday showed just over 30 thousand new homes were built here last year, despite government pledges it would be over 40 thousand.

Taoiseach Michael Martin told the Dail there was ‘no intention to mislead anybody.

However Susanne Rogers research and Policy Analyst with Social Justice Ireland says even the housing targets aren’t sufficient………….
