The girlfriend of Charles Dooher, who was left seriously injured after he was beaten by a masked gang, has confirmed that he has been moved out of intensive care.
The 26-year-old was in his family home when the gang broke in and attacked him with iron bars on January 20th.
In a statement on social media, his girlfriend Charlotte Gallen has confirmed he has shown significant signs of recovery and is now awake.
She says being able to hear his voice and walk beside him is a feeling she “will always treasure” and is looking forward to a starting a “new chapter”.
