There’s calls for a homeless shelter to be developed in Inishowen.
It’s in response to the growing need for emergency accommodation.
Councillor Joy Beard says she has been contacted by people in distress who are struggling to secure accommodation particularly during weekends as the local housing office operates Monday to Friday only and homeless shelters are full.
She says the county is heading into a perfect storm:
