A former garda sergeant in Donegal says he believes a traffic control system in place in Barcelona could be adapted for use in Letterkenny.
Christy Galligan was speaking after reports of serious traffic congestion yesterday.
He believes delays caused by works in the vicinity of the Polestar Roundabout were exacerbated by a large volume of visitors in the county for Easter making their way home, with those coming from areas like Downings, Kerrykeel and Dunfanaghy having no choice but to travel through the outskirts of Letterkenny.
On today’s Nine til Noon Show, Mr Galligan said a proper traffic control system would help alleviate those issues………….
