A man in his twenties, who was arrested in Letterkenny on Tuesday evening, has been charged, and is due in court today.
Gardai have not commented on the circumstances of the arrest.
The group Justice Reborn claims the arrest follows an operation it carried out which led to a man travelling to Donegal in the expectation of meeting a 13 year old girl.
