49% of vehicles in Donegal passed the NCT the first time round in the month of July.
Of a total of 4,033 tests, 1,967 passed, 1,737 failed and 329 failed in a dangerous capacity.
The majority of the tests were carried out in Letterkenny with 1,973 and the centre in Donegal Town saw 1,029 tests.
Carndonagh completed 573, and that figure for Derrybeg was 458.
The pass rates in each of the centres ranged from 48% to 50%.
