Donegal man told personal data on work device is stored ‘at own risk’

Workers are being warned that if they store personal data on a work device, they do so at their own risk.

It’s after Eamonn McShane from Burtonport claimed to have lost €1,400 due to a HSE cyber attack.

The Irish Independent reports that Mr McShane, an employee of the HSE, lost a court challenge in relation to stolen cryptocurrency when his personal email had been hacked on his work phone.
