Finn Harps closed the gap on the playoff places to just four points thanks to a 2-1 home victory over Athlone Town.
Goals either side of the half from Conor Tourish and Hans Mpongo had Harps 2-0 up before Dean Williams pulled one back for the visitors.
Harps held firm in the closing stages to claim all three points.
