An unaccompanied learner driver has been caught speeding in Inishowen.
Last night, Buncrana Roads Policing Unit detected a car travelling at 132KPH in a 100KPH zone.
The car was seized and Fixed Charge Penalty Notices issued.
Gardai are reminding all Learner Permit drivers that under the ‘Clancy Amendment’ they must be accompanied by a qualified driver.
They are also appealing to motorists to ensure they are travelling within the designated speed limit at all times and to slow down.
