Warning issued after woman suffers weever-fish sting on Linsfort Beach

Visitors of Linsfort Beach in Buncrana are warned to be vigilant after a local woman was badly stung by a weever fish.

Cllr Jack Murray has made the appeal, stating that the National Poisons Information Centre of Ireland also recently issued a statement warning that weever fish were present in Donegal.

The woman in question told Cllr Murray that when she tried to remove the sting, the poison then burned her hands.
