Gardaí from Glenties have seized 14 dogs during a search of a property on Friday.
Concerns had been raised under the Animal Health and Welfare Act and Gardaí are liaising with the ISPCA in relation to the matter.
They say all of the dogs are currently receiving necessary veterinary attention.
Investigations are ongoing.
