The Dail has been told the failure to pass legislation extending the increase in the cap for defective block homeowners to those already going through the scheme is cruel.
Deputy Padraig MacLochlainn told TDs the reality on the ground is that people are facing huge gaps between the actual cost of the remediation and what’s available through the scheme.
He said describing the current scheme as 100% Redress is clearly inaccurate…………
