A stinger device was deployed in Carndonagh on Saturday after a car was caught driving dangerously.
Gardaí had been alerted to the fact that a car was being driven in a dangerous manner and made their way to the area.
The driver failed to stop when signalled to do so by Gardaí.
A stinger device was successfully deployed and the car was stopped and seized.
The car was not covered by insurance and it had false registration plates attached.
The owner will have to make an application to the District Court Judge in order to get the car back and court proceedings will follow.
