ESRI says economy overcame Brexit and Covid threats, but overreliance on multinationals is a risk

Ireland’s economy successfully overcame the negative impacts of Brexit, Covid-19 and energy price spikes.

According to Economic and Social Research Institute the domestic economy could expand by just over 2% annually over the next decade.

A new study by the institute also pointed out that our reliance on multinationals for employment and corporate tax revenue is the main driver behind potential threats to the Irish economy.
