Empty commercial buildings could be turned into state-led childcare facilities

The Government reportedly wants to buy empty commercial buildings to turn into state-lead childcare facilities.

Children aged 1-3 will be emphasised as the demand in that group is highest.

The Irish Independent reports purpose-built units could be considered in the future.
