Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Shercock, County Cavan.
Gardai say the crash, involving a car and a lorry, happened on the R192 at Corcloughan shortly before half past seven this morning.
The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The lorry driver, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital for assessment.
The road remains closed for a forensic examination, and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
