The Energy Minister is asking the consumer watchdog to closely monitor fuel prices.
Darragh O’Brien has written to the chair of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, Brian McHugh, amid ongoing uncertainty in global oil markets.
He has requested the CCPC consider “enhanced mechanisms to track retail fuel prices”.
