
Buncrana Children’s Charity says it has invested more than €28,000 in supporting local children and families so far this year.
The funding has been provided through the charity’s Smile Bags initiative, direct financial assistance, and its Smile for a Child Wish programme.
More than €9,500 has been distributed in direct financial support alone.
Chairperson Adrian McMyler says many families are struggling under the pressure of the rising cost of living.
The charity is now preparing to expand its work under the new name Inishowen Children’s Charity.
