A sitting of the Special Criminal Court has heard concerns over delays in serving the book of evidence in the case of a man accused of murdering Denis Donaldson, according to reports in the Irish Daily Star.
Antoin Duffy, who is in his 40s and of no fixed address appeared before the court yesterday.
He is charged with the 2006 murder of Mr Donaldson in Cloghercor as well as the attempted murder of Liam Copeland McGinley on November 19, 2007 at Meenaboll, along with firearm charges.
Defence counsel expressed concern that this was the third court appearance awaiting the book of evidence which has delayed a bail application.
Mr Justice Patrick McGrath adjourned the issue until October 12th for the book of evidence to be served.
