Gardaí Appeal for Witnesses Following Fatal N56 Collision in Termon

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N56 at Termon, Co. Donegal, at approximately 4:30pm today, Friday, August 7.

​The two-vehicle collision involved a car and a motorcycle.

​The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been removed to the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.

​The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

​The scene remains preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and local diversions are in place.

​Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.

​Road users who were travelling on the N56 between the Lagoon Restaurant & Guesthouse and Creeslough between 4:00pm and 5:00pm today, and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
