
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N56 at Termon, Co. Donegal, at approximately 4:30pm today, Friday, August 7.
The two-vehicle collision involved a car and a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been removed to the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The scene remains preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.
Road users who were travelling on the N56 between the Lagoon Restaurant & Guesthouse and Creeslough between 4:00pm and 5:00pm today, and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
