New research commissioned by IPB Insurance has highlighted Donegal’s strong reputation when it comes to Ireland’s beaches.
Along with Kerry and Wexford, Donegal is ranked among the country’s favourite beach counties.
However, the research also found that Donegal, alongside Leitrim, is considered one of Ireland’s most overlooked and underrated counties.
The findings show that 93 per cent of people believe protecting Ireland’s beaches and public spaces is important to them.
