Loughs Agency have seized two illegal fishing nets in recent patrols on the River Foyle.
These seizures were made by Fishery Officers in the Backwater area near Strabane.
The Agency say that these seizures form part of ongoing enforcement ‘to protect fish stocks and ensure compliance with fisheries legislation across the Foyle catchment.’
They’ve urged members of the public to report suspected illegal fishing activity through the WaterWatch app.
