Glenswilly are through to the quarter-finals of the Donegal Senior Club Championship after securing a 1-13 to 0-11 victory over Termon in their preliminary quarter-final clash at Pairc Naomh Columba today.
The opening 20 minutes were tightly contested, with the sides trading points to leave the game deadlocked at 0-4 apiece.
The decisive moment arrived shortly before the break when Michael Murphy raised the game’s only green flag.
At half-time Glenswilly had established a five-point advantage over the visitors.
Termon rallied hard in the second period to bridge the gap, but Glenswilly managed the game effectively, holding their ground to keep the five-point buffer intact at the final whistle.
Oisin Kelly and Brendan Kilcoyne were at Pairc Naomh Columba for Highland Radio Sport.
